The South Carolina College of Pharmacy is fortunate to house several research centers and initiatives that provide resources to our students, faculty and the general public. The College provides a 24-hour Poison Control Center that addresses many critical issues; supports the Center for Medication Safety that does research and education to promote medication safety and effectiveness; and has established a Center for Drug Discovery, which is a partnership between the South Carolina College of Pharmacy and the MUSC Hollings Cancer Center. In addition, the College has established an Academic Detailing program in cooperation with the SC Medicaid Program to support medication prescribers with unbiased drug information.
